September 16
Week #1 - Charlene Collins Freeman (click name to see her website)
Overview of types of sketchbooks people keep, art supplies, tips and tricks for sketching on location and from photographs and basic exercises to sketch loosely.
September 23
Week #2 - Tara Larsen Chang
We’ll explore some basic approaches and examples of laying out your pages - including an overview of composition and utilizing thumbnails, along with some exercises to help you feel confident with how to address your own.
September 30
Week #3 - Anya Toomre (click name to see her website)
Hand Lettering - play with your own handwriting and learn techniques that can be applied to titles and labeling on your pages, or recording your thoughts. Lettering can also be used as an abstract decorative element, and Anya will share some of her examples before letting you play with what inspires you.
Classes will be recorded and recordings are available for up to 3 weeks after class ends.
There is a $35 cancellation fee. No refunds for cancellations received less than two weeks before the day of the workshop.
